DOWNLOAD THE RGO FUNK, SOUL & HAMMOND SHOW FOR FREE!

That’s right boys and girls! Absolutely FREE FUNK as in FREE BEER! In September 2010 the Rare Groove Orchestra recorded a live show in Zuiderwoude (a tiny village near Amsterdam) featuring Rob “Dr. Rob” Geboers on the Hammond organ. It was one of our finest live efforts till date and it is a terrible sin to let it go to waste.
This free download (cooked to a whopping 320kbps quality level) is our way of saying THANK YOU to the funk community. Props for your support over the years! Please download the show to your fav media player, put on yer head phones, pump up the volume and have a funky good time!

No commentsYes sir: the RGO dance contest
Audience beware…. This is what happens when the RGO Soul Funk & Hammond show stumbles upon the RGO Dance Contest:
“All of a sudden Luca walked into the crowd and invited a lady on to the stage with him to dance. Encouraging shouts could be heard as her hand went up in the air and she moved her hips to the jazz. Then Luca went in search of contestant number two, which happened to be yours truly. Not believing he would think twice about trying to get me up there I didn’t move very far – but! – I dunno, perhaps it was the jacket. So I went for it, and my best shot wasn’t even that bad. At least the audience thought so and moments after they clapped hardest for whoever they thought should win I had officially won my first funky dance-off!
First prize was a copy of their CD which I’m hoping will fall on my doormat sooner or later. In return I promised I would write a review, so check in another time to find out about that!”

Groove Night in LVC Leiden
Wow people, what a night it was on saturday the 15th! We enjoyed the audience and I believe the audience had a great night too.
A special shout out to Joost Noordman. He was the promotor of this night and he did a great job. And.. at midnight he celebrated his birthday. Thanks for having us, Joost.
And also; thanks to the guys from GrooveSaloon. They warmed up the crowd with a mix of funky JB covers and their own groovy tunes.
