Yes sir: the RGO dance contest

Audience beware…. This is what happens when the RGO Soul Funk & Hammond show stumbles upon the RGO Dance Contest:

“All of a sudden Luca walked into the crowd and invited a lady on to the stage with him to dance. Encouraging shouts could be heard as her hand went up in the air and she moved her hips to the jazz. Then Luca went in search of contestant number two, which happened to be yours truly. Not believing he would think twice about trying to get me up there I didn’t move very far – but! – I dunno, perhaps it was the jacket. So I went for it, and my best shot wasn’t even that bad. At least the audience thought so and moments after they clapped hardest for whoever they thought should win I had officially won my first funky dance-off!

First prize was a copy of their CD which I’m hoping will fall on my doormat sooner or later. In return I promised I would write a review, so check in another time to find out about that!”

Groove Night in LVC Leiden

Wow people, what a night it was on saturday the 15th! We enjoyed the audience and I believe the audience had a great night too.

A special shout out to Joost Noordman. He was the promotor of this night and he did a great job. And..  at midnight  he celebrated  his birthday.  Thanks  for  having  us, Joost.

And also; thanks to the guys from GrooveSaloon. They warmed up the crowd with a mix of funky JB covers and their own groovy tunes.

Great catering makes hungry

Last night we did a show in Lille, France. The place was huge and beautiful. And we had a proper dressing room with a well stuffed fridge! And as true musicians, this was the time to catch up on our diets. If all venues would be this great, we’d all be obese.

Thanks everyone for the great night!

RGO: Dancing With The Cows

Boy do we go places! Yesterday we were invited by the vicar of Zuiderwoude to perform on their yearly event Reflections

Performing our Soul Funk & Hammond show in the midst of a stable filled with people and calves was indeed spectacular.

Thanks everyone for joining us and a special shout out to the attending cows: may you produce funky dairy!

Till next year?
